Men’s Shed Phone Line

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Groundwork Northern Ireland is running a phone line service for Men’s Shed members who would benefit from a friendly phone call.
The service is available every Wednesday from 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm.
Email mensshed@groundworkni.co.uk to schedule a call or to ask any questions.

Grow Boxes

We are partnering with University of Ulster to deliver packs for people to grow easy veg at home. People will be supplied with everything they need to grow veg like spinach, scallions and lettuce leaves. We will provide instructions and support via videos.
We are distributing these through food banks. If you would like more information please get in touch info@groundworkni.co.uk

Grants

Our grant programmes remain open as usual so you can apply to Aughrim and Whitemountain Programme. Additionally, the Tesco Bags of Help fund has opened a special response to the COVID-19 pandemic with grants of £500 for groups helping those who are vulnerable.
Our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts have regular updates about our grant programmes.

Gardening Support

We will be running some gardening support sessions via Zoom. Keep an eye on social media for details of these. We will also be uploading videos with gardening tips.

If you are interested in tomato growing, our Tomato Fest event page is dedicated to all things tomatoes and already has some videos on the early stages of tomato growing. Find the event page here.
