The Family Works programme supports unemployed residents from Hounslow, Barnet, Wandsworth, Lewisham, Lambeth and Islington into paid employment that compliments their family commitments. Our dedicated Employment Advisors work closely with participants, supporting them to overcome personal and family challenges and to move into sustainable employment.
The programme takes a whole family approach, with participants taking part in both 1-2-1 advice sessions and family workshops. The assistance and support we offer includes:
- 1-2-1 advice appointments
- Workshops on a wide range of topics, including financial management, motivation and confidence building and health and family wellbeing
- C.V. and cover letter advice
- Interview preparation
- Advice on how to access the ‘hidden job market’ (jobs that aren’t advertised)
- Advice on returning to work after redundancy
The Family Works programme is delivered by Groundwork London on behalf of G4S, and is funded by the DWP through the European Social Fund.
