NEWS: Win a Friendship Bench for your organisation

Groundwork has launched a unique opportunity that invites organisations to enter a prize draw to win a Friendship Bench for their outside space.

The competition is part of special partnership between Groundwork and book publisher Frances Lincoln – part of the Quarto Group – who is donating 3% of the retail price to the charity from it’s book, ‘Thank You’ to Groundwork. This money will then go towards the creation and installation of Friendship Benches.

A Friendship Bench creates a safe space for children to go to. If they are ever feeling lonely or left out or simply in need of a friend in that moment, they can place themselves on the bench and the others will know they need company and go and chat to them.

In order to be eligible, entrees must be from organisations whose primary focus is working with children under 11 years of age. The prize draw closes on Friday 27 November 2020.
