Fun sessions for Kempston’s young people

Young people in Kempston can get involved in a variety of activities at Kempston youth club, run by community charity Groundwork East.

Kemspton youth club – funded by Bedford Borough Council – has a number of activities for young people to get enjoy, from cooking and sports to arts and crafts. The youth club is a space for young people to chill out and meet some new people.

Young people can also benefit from advice and guidance from Groundwork’s trained youth workers, and the club is a safe space to relax, or to get support for issues and problems.

The youth club is open 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Tuesday nights in term time and is located at Hillgrounds Road, Kempston, Bedford MK42 8QP.

Lead Youth Worker at the club, Holly Shreeves said “Kempston youth club is a great space for young people to hang out with their friends and to enjoy lots of activities. But it’s also somewhere they can talk about any problems they’re having with one of the youth workers, for confidential advice and support.”

Cllr James Valentine, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services and Education at Bedford Borough Council said; “Kempston Youth Club is a fantastic space for older children and young people to enjoy the facilities and make full use of a fabulous resource in the heart of their community. The club gives young people somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to.”
