Developed by Groundwork Greater Manchester as part of the IGNITION project, Eco Streets supports communities to transform unused outdoor areas into exciting green spaces which feature nature-based-solutions that help alleviate climate change.

Our team help make community ideas a reality, including residents from Boscombe Street in Moss Side:

We have a number of community projects across Greater Manchester who are looking for corporate sponsors to make their project a reality. If you’re looking for a ready-to-go project which supports local communities and involves your staff team through volunteering activities, this is a perfect way businesses can bring their social value policy to life.

A small sponsorship fee provides the capital funds for the project plus the support from Groundwork’s Landscape Architects and Community Enablers to equip the community with the skills to design, install and maintain natural features which will create vibrant, green community spaces which benefit local people while tackling climate change.

Key project outcomes include:

  • A diverse range of people are engaged in conversations about climate change and the benefits of natural solutions
  • Residents develop new skills in creating and maintaining small scale environmental improvements
  • A range of small scale nature based solutions (NBS) installed in agreed space/s and residents’ gardens.

Sponsorship starts at £6,000 and depends on community need and aspirations.
