Green Spaces Delivery & Development Manager

Location: Colne Valley Park Visitor Centre, Denham, Nr. Uxbridge.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Circa £33,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part time or job share considered for the right candidate)

We are looking for an experienced project manager with a passion for the environment to lead green spaces projects in, and around, the Colne Valley Regional Park.

Summary of role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a a friendly and committed team based at the Colne Valley Park Visitor Centre in the heart of attractive countryside next door to a beautiful chalk stream, easily accessible from London, Bucks, Berks, Herts and Surrey. Due to an increase in grants and contracts secured we are looking to expand the team.

You will lead the delivery of Green Spaces and Green Skills projects in, and around, the Regional Park. Including supervising freelance consultants on regular maintenance visits, corporate team building days undertaking biodiversity & access projects.

You will manage and support staff on the delivery of Green Team programmes to improve the environment and participants skills, confidence and employability. You will manage the Green Spaces Project Manager to deliver projects to improve footpaths, biodiversity and community green spaces. You will also oversee management of ancient woodlands.

This role gives provides the opportunity for you to act on your own initiative to build & grow relationships with project partners, developing new Green Spaces & Green Skills Projects to grow your team.

Full UK driving licence required, you will be provided with a work vehicle which must be driven in accordance with company policy.
