Community Garden Donates Fresh Food To Local Community

Throughout the pandemic Grow Speke has continued to donate freshly grown fruit and vegetables grown on site and thousands of seedlings to local allotments, community groups and families.

Thanks to support from the Steve Morgan Foundation and Quantil Ltd, the project has provided vital support to local communities at a time when they have needed it most.

Those who have benefitted from these donations include foodbanks, allotments, community centres and local churches. Grow Speke recently donated a variety of fresh fruit and veg to support St Aidans With All Saints Harvest Festival. This food will be given to local families at the festival celebration.

St Aidans Curate Gareth Morgan says:

This donation from Grow Speke means that we can provide food for people who may otherwise have gone hungry. To be able to give local families fresh healthy food is not only good for their health but also their mental health.
