Green Doctor Energy Advisor

Location:  Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

Contract: 1-year fixed term

Salary: £24,324.48

37.5 hours per week

Qualified/experienced in giving energy advice? Want to help some of the most vulnerable residents keep warm and manage their energy bills? Join us to grow Groundwork’s award-winning national Green Doctor programme into Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

As a Green Doctor you’ll deliver home visits and provide online assistance as required. Home visits are a mix of advice-giving, installation of small practical energy-saving measures such as low energy light bulbs and draft proofing, as well as referring clients onto other health and wellbeing services. We aim to reduce our client’s energy bills and save them money in a variety of ways, including through providing a bill switching service if applicable.

You will be a practical, people-person with a passion for helping vulnerable people. You must have a thorough knowledge of energy efficiency to provide in-home tailored energy saving advice, and have the ability to adapt your approach to suit our client’s varying needs.

You must be comfortable with lone working and managing your own workload.  Experience of training and working with volunteers is also desirable.

An energy efficiency qualification is essential, but relevant experience in the field will be considered.

A full clean driving licence is required.
