It also provides the basis on which we must grow and develop. Charities are facing continual and emerging challenges to their relevance and funding. It is only by understanding the impact we have, and taking steps to maximise it, that we will remain resilient in future periods.
It shows how we increase independence, tackle poor health and well-being and improve people’s prospects by using the outdoors as a space for learning, healing and development. The report also shows how we’re addressing unsustainable living and working through our environmental business services and environmental education projects, encouraging greener living and working.
Finally, it explains how we combat social isolation, improve safety and security, and bring communities together by creating better places – whether that’s a vulnerable resident’s garden, a community space in a residential neighbourhood, or a school growing area.
