East of England

Let’s get active outdoors this October!

Are you a resident in Bedford who wants to give their health and employment prospects a boost? Then sign up for Get Outdoors Get Active, run by community charity Groundwork East.

The course, funded by the Bedfordshire Employment & Skills Service and Central Bedfordshire Council, is taking place at Priory Country Park (Barkers Lane) in Bedford over 3 days. Sessions will run from 10am to 2.30pm on 12, 13, and 19 October.

You’ll get the chance to boost your health and feel better, by learning new skills in habitat management including coppicing, and dead hedging with a group of like-minded people. Gaining new skills will also help to improve your employment prospects.
