Learning Mentors support job seekers to overcome their barriers to work and improve their employability.
How is support given?
Our Learning Mentors, support job seekers through one-to-one support sessions, by:
- Working to identify possible barriers to employment and support needs
- Working to put development plans in place
- Helping development though signposting and helping to access engagement activities with Groundwork or any of the other BBO partner organisations
- Helping the transition into sustainable employment, volunteering or further education
- Offering the chance to gain skills to help secure work experience placements, volunteering opportunities or apprenticeships.
