Groundwork is a federation of charities working nationally and locally to transform lives in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities.
We’re passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny and no-one is held back by their background or circumstances. We help people gain confidence and skills, get into training and work, protect and improve green spaces, lead more active lives and overcome significant challenges such as poverty, isolation, low skills and poor health.

As a charity, we are well experienced in working with communities and partners to identify priorities and using our fundraising and project management skills to successfully deliver services which both enhance and transform people’s lives. We develop projects and ideas through user involvement, through the ideas and opinions of communities, and through the needs identified we build the projects which have the communities at their heart. As a Trust we work to prioritise Early Intervention and Prevention projects which drive change before issues become embedded and supporting individuals to choose positive change and be in charge of their wellbeing.
Groundwork Northamptonshire is the accountable body for ‘Made in Corby’ (MiC), an Arts Consortium and part of the Arts Council England Creative People and Places network. Made in Corby’s aim is to inspire more local Corby people than ever before to take the lead in experiencing, creating and taking part in high quality arts and cultural activities.
