In response to increasing youth unemployment, the Government has committed £2 billion to the Kickstart Scheme, designed to create thousands of paid 6-month work placements, and Groundwork nationally is thrilled to be part of the scheme.
Groundwork North East & Yorkshire are excited to be acting as a Gateway Provider which offers support to both employers and young people.
Support for employers
We will work with you to complete DWP requirements and liaise with local Jobcentres to promote the roles you are wanting to offer a young person. Through discussion with yourselves we will complete a bespoke recruitment package in line with your requirements – this can include a pre-screening service, organising online or face to face interviews or application forms. We will then give you support throughout the 6 month period to ensure that the scheme is a success. Support for young people
We have a wide range of varied roles throughout North East & Yorkshire with local organisations. Once you start on Kickstart with one of our employers we will offer you a programme of employability and training support so whilst gaining practical experience with an employer we will support you to gain skills and qualifications to enable you to develop and build your chosen career path.
