CANCELLED. Groundwork North Wales supports the Great Spring Clean 2020 by Keep Britain Tidy

Groundwork North Wales is supporting The  Great British Spring Clean 2020 run by Keep Britain Tidy which aims to transform our country for the better by creating cleaner streets, parks and beaches, protecting our wildlife and, ultimately, stopping the tide of plastic that is doing so much damage to our oceans and marine life.

The Great British Spring Clean takes place from 20th March to the 13th April 2020 and Groundwork is hosting a number of clean-ups across North Wales which are open for everyone to join in.

The Our Back Yard project is running 4 clean-up events in Connah’s Quay, Flintshire which is open to the public. This starts with a clean-up at Central Park on Sat 28th March from 10 am – 12 pm, meeting in the Car Park by the cricket club.

On Tuesday 31st March the clean-up will be at Wepre Park from 10 am – 12 pm, meeting in the main Car Park.

On Wednesday 1st April they will be clearing up the Coastal Path around Connah’s Quay from 10.30 am – 1.30 pm meeting at the QWA on Dock Rd.

Their last clean-up will be on Saturday 4th April at Wepre Park from 11 am, meeting at the Visitor Centre.

The Bangor Team at Groundwork North Wales are running a clean-up on 31st March 2020 at Maesgeirchen, Bangor from 10.00 am- 12.00 pm meeting outside the Partnership office in Maesgeirchen, Bangor (LL57 1LT).

Groundwork’s Plas Power project, funded through the Landfill Disposal Tax Fund is holding a clean-up event on the 2nd April from 10.30 am. The “Great Big Plas Power Colliery Clean-up” will take place around the Groundwork North Wales site in Tanyfron, Wrexham.

The We Care project is holding an event on the 4th April, where they will be cleaning up areas in Flint from 10.30 – 1.00 pm meeting at the lifeboat station by Flint Castle.

Hanna Clarke, Marketing Events Manager at Groundwork North Wales said, “Everyone is welcome to join in our clean up events and we are hoping communities will come out in force to join and show the love for the places they live and work”.
