Safeguarding and Whistleblowing

All service users, volunteers and members of the public are encouraged to contact us to raise any concerns by contacting our Safeguarding team. If, in the unlikely event that we are unable to take your call, please leave your name and contact details and we will call you back at the earliest opportunity.  Alternatively, you are welcome to contact us by email.

Groundwork West Midlands takes the privacy of all stakeholders very seriously and takes great care with customer and user information in accordance with all applicable laws concerning the protection of personal information. In order to provide you with information about our services, we may collect personal information, including for example name, address, email address and telephone number, about you from our website, telephone conversations, emails, application forms and written communications.

We may supplement the information that you provide with other information we receive from third parties and project delivery partners.

How do we use your information?

Any personal data relating to you will be used and recorded by us in accordance with current data protection legislation and this Privacy Policy.

We will use the personal information we hold to communicate with you with regard to Groundwork West Midlands and its activities and particular goods, services and special offers which may interest you. This may also include market research to improve the quality of our service.

Disclosure of your information

We may pass your information between Groundwork UK, individual Groundwork Trusts, project delivery partners and funders, to which we have a business relationship. In all cases, we will take great care to ensure that your information is only processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the law, and we only permit your information to be used for authorised purposes.

How do we store your information?

Personal data collected by core website processes will be deleted if it has been unused for more than 2 years. Personal data collected for email marketing will be retained while you are a subscriber. An unsubscribe link will be provided on all email newsletter and you can unsubscribe at any time. The data of unsubscribed users will be retained to ensure we have a record of your preferences so we know to not contact you with that method.
