I now eat much healthier and I’m saving money
Multiply is a FREE programme aimed at helping people to become more confident with numbers.
Many of us don’t find using numbers all that easy, and lacking confidence in this is actually very common. Multiply provides free, flexible courses that aim to support you to learn skills you can use in everyday life. One person who has recently benefitted from the programme is Maria from Blackpool. She has spoken about how Multiply has helped her to eat healthier and save money.
Maria says:
I first heard about the Multiply course from my daughter.
She took part in the course earlier this year and told me that it helped her to understand her finances much better. I’ve always struggled with budgeting and have never felt like I was in control of my own finances. I’d been looking for a course just like this, so I was thrilled when the lovely Rachel and James came along to our Thrive group and offered to run a course from there.
Just the right support and encouragement.
Rachel and James from Groundwork were brilliant. We have various disabilities within our group and they were really understanding, offering everyone just the right amount of support and encouragement. We learned how to work out our incomings and outgoings and how to make the most of what we have left each month. This helped me such a lot because I struggled with maths and numbers and previously found doing this a bit scary.
I loved learning about eating healthily on a budget and I will definitely be using everything I have learnt in the future.
The course itself was interesting and informative, but Rachel and James also made sure it was fun too. I loved learning about eating healthily on a budget and I will definitely be using everything I have learnt in the future.
At the end of the course we were all given an airfryer. This meant that we could put into practice some of the things that we’d learnt. Since I did the course I am eating a lot healthier and saving money as a result.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I can’t wait to see if there are any other courses like this in the future, especially if James and Rachel are involved.
