Community Project Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced project officer to join our team to support the development and delivery of a portfolio of Groundwork West Midlands Community Team projects.  This role will primarily involve supporting the delivery of a number of funding programmes across the West Midlands region including: Tesco’s Bags of Help and the Comic Relief Community Fund.

As part of this role you will:

  • Deliver a range of Groundwork community projects
  • Promote and support applications for grants and support successful groups
  • Monitor projects performance against funders’ requirements
  • Raise awareness of the programmes amongst communities and other organisations
  • Coordinate and support grant decision making panels
  • Work with a wide range of partners from all sectors of the community

You must have an interest in one or all of our core areas of work along with an understanding of the economic and social needs of residents living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods and the challenges facing grass roots community organisations.
