The Employment Advisor provides the vital link between workless residents and the work and training opportunities available to them through Groundwork South’s Greener Futures Employment, Skills and Training programmes. Groundwork’s employment programmes work with 16-18 year old as well as adults.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Employment Adviser to engage clients in Groundwork’s employment programme and to assist them in accessing employment and training. The Employment Adviser will be working with individuals who may face multiple barriers or lack motivation and will need to develop their confidence and belief in the benefits of a working life, and in further education and training.
The successful candidate will have a level 3 or 4 NVQ qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance, or equivalent experience. A PTLLS or DTLLS qualification in teaching to adults is also desirable. They will have a successful track record in communicating effectively and providing support to different client groups in a range of settings, and are able to motivate and inspire people facing multiple barriers to training and employment through the delivery of quality training sessions
- Encourage workless individuals who may face multiple barriers or lack motivation, to develop their confidence and belief in the benefits of a working life, and in further education and training.
- Assist individuals to gain entry into employment or training, by delivering Groundwork South’s employment contracts and training programmes.
