CRF LogoGroundwork Greater Nottingham work to create stronger, healthier communities, responsible business and greater prospects for local people are looking for passionate Employment Advisors to work on an exciting new employability project across Nottingham City Council.

As an Employment Advisor, you will oversee the engagement of a diverse case load of adult participants who are not in employment and face barriers to learning. You’ll establish and maintain excellent relationships with the participants on a 1:1 basis, developing their employability skills and providing advice and guidance to meet their individual needs.

You’ll also engage with the local community, local employers and Job Centres to broker employment opportunities for your participants and will maintain positive engagement of participants throughout their time on the programme or once they’ve secured employment.

Working within a friendly, busy employment team, you’ll ensure programme performance targets are consistently achieved and will ultimately help people gain the confidence and skills to get into work and overcome significant challenges such as poverty, isolation and low skills.

To be considered, you’ll need to have some experience of working with job seekers and/or employers with the confidence to provide employability advice and guidance for a range of people with different needs. Knowledge of barriers to employment and knowledge of local support services would be advantageous.

You will be appointed on a fixed term contract until October 31st 2022 and will be home based, mostly working with participants online. There will be a need for travel throughout the Nottingham area to meet participants or employers face to face.

In turn, Groundwork Greater Nottingham will provide you with equipment to work from home, a potential bonus of 20% of the FTE salary for successfully delivering the required outcomes and an excellent opportunity to develop your career in employability and employer engagement.

To show your interest, please send a copy of your updated CV to Groundwork quoting the job title and reference number.

Groundwork Greater Nottingham will review applications as they are submitted, so please show your interest quickly.
