Events Officer (Grants)

Location: Hybrid working from home and Groundwork London Islington (Angel) office with a requirement to work across London, specifically 169 Union Street

Contract: Fixed Term, 15 Weeks, 8 August to 18 November 2022

Salary: Circa £22,500 pro-rata

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Groundwork London is responsible for a number of grant schemes with environmental and social regeneration themes, including TfL Walking & Cycling Grants London, GLA Grow Back Greener, MOPAC Shared Endeavour, Our Space Award and London Schools’ Climate Kick-Start.

The Events Officer will work with the Greater London Authority on the London Schools’ Climate Kick Start programme. The London Schools’ Climate Kick-Start is a city-wide schools programme by The Mayor of London and key partners including Let’s Go Zero 2030 and Bloomberg, supported by the London Schools Climate Summit. It is designed to empower young people to help tackle the climate and ecological emergencies, and air pollution, through practical, positive action, and by encouraging students into green careers. The role will focus on schools outreach and engagement, event co-ordination, marketing and communications assistance and administration support to the Programme Delivery Team at the Greater London Authority.

For the right candidate there will be opportunities for creative input into the programme as well as the essential organising and planning skills associated with event management.
