Furniture Hub and Workshop Cleaner

Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity. We deliver over 500 projects each year aimed at supporting people to stay in education, gain new skills and secure employment; reducing our environmental impact through energy efficiency, waste minimisation, reuse and recycling; and engaging communities and enterprise in improving their environment.

The Loop @ Pembury is Hackney’s own re-use hub and is supported by Hackney Borough Council, the Pembury Estate (Peabody) and managed by the Groundwork London Trust. The purpose of the hub is to collect, store, repair, and re-sell pre-loved furniture, while also offering training, employment and volunteering opportunities for local residents.

We are now seeking a Furniture Hub & Workshop Cleaner to undertake the regular cleaning of the public and workshop areas of the hub, ensuring the rooms are kept in a clean and hygienic condition and that they provide an inviting and welcoming environment for all users of, or visitors to, the space. In addition to regular cleaning tasks, the postholder will also need to undertake the ordering and safe storage of cleaning supplies, be able to work on their own initiative and with due regard to health and safety legislation.
