We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to lead the ‘Green Team’ employment training and community volunteering scheme, focusing on practical conservation and environmental renewal in parks and greenspaces.

You will be working with volunteers, trainees to deliver environmental improvements whilst developing their skills and employability. You will be responsible for planning and delivering practical work on a range of local environmental regeneration projects that improve quality of life for local communities and enhance the greenspace.

The Green Recovery Challenge Fund is funded by Defra and is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.

As part of this role you will:

  • Plan and oversee environmental improvement schemes in local urban areas.
  • Supervise and manage a team of volunteers and trainees, undertaking conservation activities.
  • To support and mentor volunteers and trainees in order to make them more employable. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements (including Covid-19 safety measures).
  • To undertake and deliver training designed to link project activities.

You must have experience of:

  • Supervising volunteers, including young people.
  • The ability to work flexibly and creatively.
  • Hold a current UK Driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle.
