At community charity, Groundwork South, we are changing places, changing lives across the South of England, one green step at a time.

Groundwork South delivers horticultural qualifications to people as part of funded work programmes with our partners.  The Horticulture Tutor plays a central role in the delivery of the required learning and skills development and assessments supporting participants during their journey to qualifications.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced tutor to deliver accredited horticulture courses and training within one-to-one and group delivery formats, ensuring the support provided assists and motivates unemployed adults to achieve qualifications and become employment ready.

The role may also involve leading and training a team of trainee operatives. Tasks may include identifying, planning, managing and delivering a diverse programme of soft landscaping, grounds maintenance and woodland management projects.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised teaching and industry qualification for the post or have substantial proven industry experience. You must be highly motivated and be interested in supporting learners and trainees to reach their desired goal. You should be flexible in your working week and be prepared to be a team player.

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for which you will need to be insured for business use. Employees are able to claim back mileage rates as per our Expenses Policy. For company vehicles due to insurance provision, candidates must be aged 21 plus with more than 12 months driving history.
