Groundwork Yorkshire’s team of Landscape Architects work on an exciting range of environmentally and socially engaged projects that contribute meaningfully to the communities and green infrastructure of our cities, towns and villages.

We are looking for a team leader who is motivated to take the design team forward, to consolidate our existing strong work programme and grow the team with the help of the senior management team and wider network of Groundwork landscape architects.

Landscape Design Team Manager

£33,000-£36,000 full time

Groundwork is seeking to appoint an experienced Landscape Architect to head up our landscape design team, based in Leeds and working across the Yorkshire region. The successful candidate will be a qualified CMLI with at least five years post part IV experience in leading projects, ideally with some line management experience and will be proficient in programme management, with good urban design and contract management skills.

As well as managing three senior landscape architects and a landscape assistant, and supported by a capital programme co-ordinator, the Team Manager will also be responsible for their own programme of delivery; helping to secure new contracts and developing new business both in Yorkshire and as part of the Groundwork in the North partnership in Manchester, the North West and the North East.
