Project Officer (Suffolk)

Salary: £22,591 to £24,143 per annum pro rata, depending on experience

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Hours: Full time (37 hrs a week) OR Part time (minimum of 22.5 hours a week)
Contract: 1 year fixed term contract with view to extend

As a Project Officer you will deliver a wide range of environmental community and education projects across the county focusing on engagement, consultation, education and empowerment that may include:

  • Community engagement and behaviour change projects
  • Community consultations
  • Community resilience programmes
  • Family learning / outdoor play activities
  • Community food growing projects
  • Delivering practical gardening or conservation projects that improve well-being and health
  • Team building events
  • Working with our Green Champions

You will have proven experience to deliver projects that engage communities and have the skills to plan, monitor and evaluate your own projects.  The role requires a valid driving licence, access to a vehicle, excellent communication and diplomacy skills and excellent project management skills, including budget control. here is ample scope for innovation and we’ll make sure you’re given all the support and guidance you need to really take your career forward.
