Quality and Compliance Officer (Grants)

Location:        Groundwork London Islington (Angel) office with a requirement to work across London

Contract:        Fixed until end July 2021

Salary:            circa £28,000

Hours:            37.5 hours per week

Groundwork London is responsible for a number of grant schemes across a variety of environmental and regeneration themes, including the ESFA Community Training Grants, TfL Walking and Cycling Grants London, GLA Greener City Fund, London Family Fund, Culture Seeds, Summer Sports activities, and Stronger Together.

We are seeking a Quality and Compliance Officer (Grants) to support the leadership, management, coordination and delivery of the Trust’s grants programmes. The postholder will manage and coordinate Due Diligence, Claim Processing and Compliance across the Trust’s Grant Programmes, ensuring high-quality data monitoring, collection, analysis, review and reporting. Ultimately they will ensure the quality of submissions and reporting are contractually compliant and meet the highest standards in order to secure and draw down fees for grant funding management.

The postholder will have experience of ensuring quality and compliance processes are robust and effective, and the ability to effectively deliver training to Grants Team colleagues and others which reflects best practice across the required processes and activities. Experience or interest in funding grants or programmes designed to bring people closer to the labour market will be beneficial.

Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for the role as well as the ability to manage conflicting or competing priorities, to work autonomously and as part of a high performing team and to effectively organise workloads. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and databases to maintain complex administrative and monitoring systems with high degrees of accuracy is required.
