Senior Achievement Coach

Location: Hamoaze House, Plymouth, PL1 4JQ
Contract: Fixed term to March 2023 (with potential to extend)
Salary: £26,000 to £27,000 (Depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours a week

It is an exciting time to join our Devon & Cornwall Team, working as part of a rapidly expanding youth, employment, and training services team in Plymouth, working on our ESF projects, funded through the Empowering Enterprise project funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund.

This is a unique opportunity to support young people in Plymouth as part of the Empowering Enterprise Project.  As an inspirational Senior Achievement Coach, you will work flexibly to support young people, aged between 18 to 24 years, in Plymouth who are NEET, not in education, employment or training to work on confidence, gain skills, build self-esteem and develop motivation. Each young person works with the achievement coach to develop the skills they need to face the challenges in their life and move on. For some that means starting to look for work or finding employment, for others it is reconnecting with education or training. This exciting project also allows us to provide holistic support to help our participants get back on track. You will also help facilitate young people’s development of life skills through sessions such as healthy eating, money management, fitness, team building activities, and social action projects in their local community.

Can you lead a small team to deliver the support and guidance needed to enable young people aged 18+ who are struggling to access education, employment, or training, to build a brighter future?

For key requirements of the role please see the personal specification attached to the Job Description on our website.
