SALARY: £15,000 per annum (FTE £25,000)

We are looking for a highly motivated, equally passionate person to join our team in Denham and help us to make a real difference. ASCEND (Assisted Support for Carers and Extra Needs and Disabilities) project is designed to improve the prospects of individuals with complex needs in Berkshire (primarily Newbury and Reading) by addressing the barriers that prevent them from entering and sustaining employment. West Berkshire Council leads the partnership to deliver the project into the heart of communities. Groundwork South is a case-holding and delivery partner.

It is essential that the successful candidate has previous experience and a keen interest in providing proactive support, advice and guidance to a wide range of individuals with various needs.

Main Duties include:

  • Encourage individuals who may face multiple barriers or lack motivation, to develop their confidence and belief in the benefits of a working life, and in further education and training.
  • Assist individuals to gain entry into employment or training.
  • Lead stakeholder analysis and mapping to identify key project partners including referral organisations and front line organisations.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with key external stakeholders and partners.
  • Attend local events and conferences to promote the ASCEND project.

Community Outreach:

  • Manage, plan and deliver a range of successful interactive and creative recruitment events and workshops.

Communications and Promotion:

  • Support the ASCEND Delivery Manager and Groundwork Marketing and Communications team to establish and execute a project communications plan and create promotional materials to ensure effective outreach and project promotion, including flyers, banners, posters & etc.
  • Work with partners and stakeholders to provide a pipeline of opportunities for the participants.
  • Encourage individuals who may face multiple barriers or lack motivation, to develop their confidence and belief in the benefits of a working life, and in further education and training.
  • Assist individuals to gain entry into employment or training.
  • Encourage and support the participants with signposting them to local workshops and events.
  • Provide support with a tailored approach per participant.
  • Work with partners and stakeholders to provide a pipeline of opportunities for the participants.
