Sessional Youth Worker (Fusion Project)                  

Hampshire & Isle of Wight

Location: Home based with delivery of sessions across different locations in Hampshire or the Isle of Wight
Contract: Zero Hours
Salary: £12 per hour
Hours: At least 1 Saturday over 2 months with attendance for larger groups and occasional school holiday & evening events

The Fusion project runs sessions, workshops and trips to various Hampshire and Isle of Wight attractions for Adopted young people aged between 7-17.

As Sessional Youth Worker you will support activities for young people engaged within Groundwork South’s Fusion youth work project. Our events have included bowling, horseriding, activity centres, nature sessions, bushcraft, paddleboarding, ringos, wall climbing, art and craft activities, parties and much more!

You will actively work with the Fusion Project Manager and support the Senior Youth Worker to deliver effective and relevant support in order to enable young people to develop both socially and engage with each other across the region.

This role would be ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting Adopted young people achieve their individual potential and creating opportunities, so they are able to enhance their life skills and make positive life choices.

Due to the nature of this role we are looking for someone with a driving licence with the ability to travel across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Sessions run up to 3 Saturdays in Hampshire and 1 on the Isle of Wight along with sessions during school holidays and occasional evenings, shared over the team.
