Choices is an exciting employment Programme in West Cumbria jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund. Working in Partnership with 5 voluntary and community sector delivery Partners who are specialists in employment, financial and digital inclusion, Health and Wellbeing and volunteering. Choices supports unemployed or economically inactive people progress towards or into employment or training.

About the role

Working as a key member of the Employment Team, you will manage a caseload of Choices participants and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers by signposting into existing and new services, as well as supporting them to access training, job search and employment. Working closely with participants, Key Workers are responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure endorsed by the Disclosure and Barring Service

We want someone like you with the confidence to work closely with participants and support them through every stage of their journey, enabling them to address their barriers and realise their aspirations and their full potential. You will have the determination and passion needed to make a real difference to the lives of others and you will be able to think of new and innovative ways to support programme participants.

You will have the ability to work independently, using your initiative, taking responsibility for achievement of identified programme targets and you will be the type of person who is always able to maintain quality standards, as well as having the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
