Groundwork Greater Nottingham is a registered Landscape Practice offering a comprehensive range of professional landscape design services as part of a multi-disciplinary organisation. At the heart of our work is the desire to improve the lives of people living in the East Midlands. We take an integrated approach where our professionals work closely with facility users, sponsors and other interested parties to ensure we create better places for people to live, work, play and relax, connecting people with the landscape through each stage of the design, development and delivery process.
We have successfully delivered a wide portfolio of projects throughout the East Midlands for local authorities, parish councils, community groups, housing associations, private businesses, public sector and third sector organisations, the repeat commissions we get are a testament to the quality of service we deliver. Our projects link directly to government and local authority targets and objectives.
Approach
Groundwork Greater Nottingham’s work focuses on improving the quality of life in areas of greatest need and is underpinned by principles of sustainability, biodiversity and quality. We promote the use of recycled and reclaimed materials in our projects and seek to ensure our suppliers meet our environmental standards. We believe that providing quality public spaces which meet the needs and desires of the people they serve is the key to reducing anti-social behaviour, instilling pride and ownership, respect and social cohesion. We seek to educate and provide adaptations to combat climate change, through increased biodiversity, sustainable drainage systems and improved green space connectivity. Good design is paramount to creating successful spaces where people feel safe, relaxed and happy, essential to improving health and well-being.
Services
Groundwork Greater Nottingham’s Chartered and Licentiate members of the Landscape Institute have experience of delivering the full range of preliminary and standard landscape architecture services, defined by the Landscape Institute, to produce hard and soft landscape designs, contract documentation, administration and full project management. We also bring the added benefit of a comprehensive consultation and engagement process as well as advice, guidance and support to secure capital funding through grant sources, providing added value to our clients and customers.
We take projects of all sizes and complexity from concept to finished product. Our professional approach combines inspirational ideas with practical realistic delivery which meets budget restrictions and timescales.
