Life Skills and Employment
We deliver programmes with schools, colleges, councils and employers to support people into training and work and open up routes into the green economy.
We design tailored local initiatives and deliver major public programmes to help people achieve qualifications, build their life skills and gain practical work experience. We have a strong track record of working in those areas that need extra support, and of going the extra mile in inspiring people to think differently about their futures. We are focused on helping those who might otherwise miss out because of their background or circumstances to benefit from the transition to a low carbon, nature rich economy.
We can help deliver:
- Green skills training linked to nature, energy and the circular economy
- Careers advice and guidance
- Environmental work placements
- Life skills and employability support
The way we work:
- We are people-centred: we focus on ‘coaching and caring’, providing a safe and supportive environment that helps people develop their full potential.
- We build confidence and connections: we work with an extensive network of local partners to ensure people are able to access the most appropriate support and build relationships to help them achieve their goals.
- We provide experience and create jobs: we have a long track record of creating placements and traineeships to help people acquire the experience they need to progress their careers.
- We break down barriers: we employ people who have faced their own challenges as leaders and deliver targeted programmes around the needs of people with particular barriers such as care leavers, refugees or people with a history of offending.
