Luton residents have new resource to get help with food thanks to local Alliance
Residents of Luton can now access an online hub with details of food banks and support services, thanks to a group of organisations.
The Luton Community Food Hub is an online hub designed to help residents who are struggling to pay for food. The site includes a full list of food banks, lunch clubs, and holiday lunch clubs to beat hunger.
There is also a collection of food growing clubs and food growing course providers to help residents learn how to grow their own fresh produce to feed their family in a cost effective and easy way.
The site also lists a number of outlets that will exchange Healthy Start vouchers for fresh fruit, vegetables, milk and formula.
The Community Food Hub has been launched by the Luton Food Poverty Alliance, a group of individuals and organisations from across Luton, working together to help residents secure a healthy and sustaining diet.
