Groundwork is working with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to deliver the Coastal Communities Fund (CCF) across England.
CCF encourages the economic development of UK coastal communities by giving funding to create sustainable economic growth and jobs. The UK government announced in 2015 that the CCF would be extended to 2021. Round 5 of the funding stream is now underway and will see an additional £40m invested into England’s coastal communities, with 42 successful grant awards.
Since the start of CCF in 2012, grants have been awarded to 319 organisations across the UK to the value of £210 million. This funding is forecast to deliver over 20,000 jobs and help attract over £356 million of additional funds to coastal areas.
