New to Nature is offering paid 12-month work placements at a variety of inspiring organisations such as Zoological Society of London (ZSL), The Woodland Trust, Royal Parks – and more!

New to Nature aims to provide life-changing experiences for people who might not normally have access to a career in the environmental sector, with young people who are from an ethnic minority, who are disabled or who are from low-income homes being encouraged to apply.

Placements in biodiversity and nature recovery that manage woodlands and river catchments, and protect plants or animals.

Placements in urban green spaces that focus on community gardens, nature reserves and other green spaces.

Placements in education and nature connection that  promote a greater understanding of the environment.


Who’s behind New to Nature?

New to Nature is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the celebrations to mark the Queen’s platinum jubilee and delivered through a partnership of Groundwork, The Prince’s Trust, Disability Rights UK, Mission Diverse and the Youth Environmental Service.
