NEWS: Walking and Cycling Grants London Launched!
Do you want to run a project that encourages walking and cycling in your community?
Walking and Cycling Grants London (WCGL) and Community Ideas Grants, funded by Transport for London in partnership with the London Marathon Charitable Trust, aim to enable all Londoners to enjoy the freedom and health benefits of walking and cycling.
Walking and Cycling Grants
Grants of up to £10,000 over three years are available to community groups, charities and social enterprises to deliver walking and cycling projects. To date, WCGL has helped over 41,000 participants in 33 boroughs to get more out of walking and cycling through activities such as rides for children with disabilities, learning to cycle or repair bikes, or walks for people suffering from ill health or isolation.
Community Ideas Grants
Grants of up to £5,000 for one year are available to projects that encourage walking and cycling activities, help get local communities active, improve health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation. Applicants can select from a list of template project ideas to deliver in their area and will receive additional support throughout the project process.
With these new Community Ideas Grants we can support even more community organisations to take part that may not have received grant funding previously, giving them lots of help setting up their projects, and so empowering communities more than ever before.

WCGL are also keen to hear from you if you have a previously successful project idea that can easily be copied by other groups across London. Get in touch at the email address below to get started.
Applications for both grants are open from 27 July until 10 September.
