Improving My Physical Health and Wellbeing

“From community growing, gardens and allotments to a wide range of wellbeing courses, activities and sessions, our projects have helped to bring people together to engage in purposeful activities which have helped them build resilience, improve confidence, increase physical activity, reduce isolation and develop better social networks.“
Lisa Taylor- Communities Programme Manager
Physical health and mental wellbeing are a part of a thread that runs through all GNEC projects. We will provide a holistic community approach to improve experiences for people and the environment they live in which we will do by enhancing community green spaces, connecting people, reducing isolation, improving skills and giving people a sense of purpose.
OUR PROJECTS

Grow Your Own
Grow Your Own is a fantastic outdoor programme which offers gardening & cooking opportunities across Stockton. The programme has been funded through Stockton Borough Council and aims to show communities how we can grow and cook at a low cost, whilst bringing residents and communities together.
Blooming Together
Blooming Together fosters community connections by creating a welcoming, inclusive space for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to engage in meaningful activities with others. Through shared experiences, participants have built friendships, reduced social isolation, and gained a strong sense of belonging.
