Groundwork in London

ACE Able Capable Employed

COVID-19 UPDATE:

Groundwork London continues to deliver our employability support projects but to minimise risk to our service users and staff, we have temporarily changed to a “remote” service.

This means our team of Advisers are able to provide the same dedicated one-to-one advice and support but via phone, text, email, WhatsApp or Zoom.

We are still able to register new people to the service so please get in contact to find out more. We will discuss with you the most appropriate method of communication, taking into account your personal situation, IT skills and the resources available to you.

Whether you have recently lost your job, want to work but need help finding and applying for jobs or want to start preparing for returning to work in the future, our Advisors are here to help.

ACE: Able, Capable, Employed is a programme supporting Londoners with disabilities and long term health conditions back into work. We also provide direct support to employers, helping them to adapt vacancies within their organisations and ensure that well suited candidates succeed in these roles.

In the UK, 81% of people of working age are employed. For those living with a disability, the figure is 52% (Office for National Statistics, 2019). We are helping to close that gap ensuring London job opportunities are open to all.

We offer:
  • One-to-one employment advice
  • Specialist mentoring and signposting to other support services
  • Vacancy adaptation to suit individual hours and needs
  • Tailored recruitment processes including work trials and informal interviews
  • In work support to help individuals succeed in their roles
  • Disability awareness training for businesses
Eligibility:
  • Unemployed
  • Over 25
  • Living in London
  • Living with a disability or long term health condition
