Energy Skills for Life

Our key targets are;

  •  Secondary school students at Key Stage 3
  • Young adults in education or training living independently for the first time

Young people living independently often have low incomes and therefore a lack of resilience. They also often have limited financial capability/literacy skills and as such struggle to understand the complex consumer energy market. Our programme can help to tackle some of these issues by delivering;

  • ‘Energy Warriors’ education sessions at KS3 in schools, for future consumers currently at school
  • Drop in advice sessions with one of our expert advisors
  • 1:1 advice visits for young consumers living independently in private rented accommodation

This project will provide skills for life for all participants by increasing their understanding of how to manage their energy consumption and costs.
