Harvesting crops at Grow Blackpool

Grow Blackpool is a community growing project.

We’re passionate about eating fresh fruit and vegetables and helping people to grow it themselves. This means we can also help you to save money, learn new skills and make new friends.

What We Do

We host volunteering sessions three times a week  It’s free and everyone is welcome to join the group. You can learn how to grow your own fruit and vegetables, even if you don’t have a garden or much space. You’ll meet new people and become more active. This will help you to feel healthier and more confident about yourself.

We have two polytunnels, raised beds and a pizza oven on site. We often cook and eat some of the food we grow on site. Some of which is taken home by our volunteers.

Where you can find us

We are based in Blackpool at the @TheGrange community centre on Grange Park estate. (Bathurst Ave, Blackpool FY3 7RW)

Our Opening Times

Tuesday: 10am – 12noon

Wednesday: 10am – 12 noon

Thursday: 10am – 12noon

Get Involved

You don’t need to know anything about gardening to get involved and all the equipment and refreshments are provided. All you need to bring are your own gardening gloves, a mug for break time and yourself.

We’re a friendly bunch. So just drop in during one of our volunteering sessions and ask for Clare, Angela or Tom. There’s no pressure. We’ll show you around the garden, have a chat and you can decide if its the right thing for you.
