Grow Blackpool is a community growing project.
We’re passionate about eating fresh fruit and vegetables and helping people to grow it themselves. We can also help you to save money, learn new skills and make new friends.
What We Do
We host volunteering sessions 3 times a week at the At The Grange Community Centre on the Grange Park estate. It’s free, everyone is welcome and you can drop in and stay for as little or long as you like, whenever you like. You can learn how you can grow your own fruit and veg, even if you don’t have a garden. You’ll meet new people and become more active, helping you to feel healthier and more confident about yourself.
We have a polytunnel, raised beds and a barbecue on site. We often cook and eat some of the food we grow on site, The rest is taken home by volunteers to be eaten at home.
Wednesday: 10am – 3pm
Thursday: 10am – 3pm
Friday: 10am – 12 noon
Saturday: 10am – 12 noon
You don’t need to know anything about gardening to get involved and all the equipment and refreshments are provided.
We’re a friendly bunch, so just drop in during one of our volunteering sessions and ask for Clare or Connor. There’s no pressure. We’ll show you around the garden, we can have a chat and you can decide if it’s the right thing for you.
