Big global issues – the economy, the environment – have a big local impact. We work across the UK helping communities find practical solutions to the challenges they face.
Groundwork has been operating in Cumbria since 2010 delivering activities that have improved people’s prospects | created better spaces | promoted greener living & working. Working in partnership with local authorities and community groups, Groundwork is focusing our programmes in Copeland, Carlisle and the Furness area to ensure that we maximise the impact of our work. Our work in Ulverston has resulted from a range of project ideas that were identified by the Town Council, South Lakeland District Council, housing providers and importantly the local communities. Initial projects in development include improving the access to the canal paths and setting up of local food growing projects. Partnership working will always be the key to making our efforts a success.
With our partners, the team in Cumbria will continue to develop and deliver a range of projects and services so that we can together make tomorrow different for every person, business and community we work with.
