To help business with the reporting process the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Companies House have recently launched a digital reporting tool that allows firms to file energy and carbon data alongside traditional financial data in annual reports.
This is the first time that non-financial data is able to be submitted digitally in this. The move is hoped to streamlined the process of SECR and boost its effectiveness.
