Toyota Thrive gets off to a great start in 2020

Toyota Thrive a new employability programme run in partnership with registered charity Groundwork North Wales, Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust and Flintshire County Council has got off to a thriving start!

The programme has taken on 5 individuals aged between 16 and 24 on Work Placement Opportunities for a total period of 20 weeks.  The placements will comprise of 8 weeks in house training with Groundwork North Wales, participants will gain STEM associated accreditation in various fields such as catering, customer services, retail, health and social care, woodwork, conservation/ outdoor activities, IT and communication skills.

After an initial 8-week internal training period, participants will move into work placements with external employers suited to their individual skills.

Participants have started the programme by touring the various sites that Groundwork North Wales encompasses including Refurbs in Flint and Cycling 4 All based at Alyn Waters Country Park
