About the role 

The Trainee Drone Pilot will work with the Resilient River Valleys project team to generate film footage using a drone and use film editing skills to produce short films to monitor progress of work on site, create promotional content for use on social media and material for use in training activities. You will also support site survey work to identify invasive plant species within river valleys. You will receive external drone pilot training as part of this role.

Main responsibilities will include:

  1. Scheduling and planning filming sessions with different members of delivery staff
  2. Organising and maintaining equipment
  3. Producing drone and video footage at different locations and events
  4. Editing film footage to create films for different purposes as agreed by relevant project manager
  5. Ensuring permissions are completed and stored correctly
  6. Completing all training provided through the job role
