Warrington Borough Council launches decarbonisation support for businesses

Warrington Borough Council has announced the launch of the innovative Race to Zero service, aimed at assisting local businesses in their journey towards decarbonisation. This pioneering initiative, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF), provides businesses in Warrington with access to invaluable business advice and grant support to accelerate their efforts in reducing carbon emissions.

The Race to Zero service is a collaborative effort between Warrington Borough Council and sustainable business experts Groundwork, who have been appointed to deliver the programme on behalf of the council. With a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and economic prosperity, this partnership aims to empower businesses in Warrington to adopt sustainable practices while fostering growth and innovation.

Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, and it is imperative that we take decisive action to address it.

By working together, we can build a more sustainable future for Warrington and beyond.”

“It’s a great way for businesses to access expert advice, funding, practical tools, and resources to make informed decisions and implement effective sustainability strategies.
