At our outdoor learning centre on the edge of the woodland, we have a comfortable 38-bed purpose-built lodge, a Grade 2 listed cottage, complete with a fully equipped kitchen and communal living, meeting or dining area, a 10-person yurt, an outdoor classroom, and an 8-acre camping field.

After a period of closure, we reopened our site in spring 2022, and have since hosted a wide range of hirers for both overnight stays and day visits – from school and community groups, to  youth organisations, DofE expeditions, wellbeing courses, special interest groups and private hirers – all making use of the facilities and indoor and outdoor spaces on offer. We also offer opportunities for community and corporate volunteering days, with a range of hands-on activities around the site and in the woodland, including woodland conservation.

More information on our site and wider woodland is available on the Goblin Combe website, at www.goblincombe.org.uk; and you can also get the latest updates via Facebook here.

Goblin Combe is one of several outdoor learning centres run by Groundwork South, where groups can have a breadth of inspirational learning and development experiences. We find that everyone thrives and thinks more creatively in an outdoor setting. Everyone benefits from being better connected with the natural environment, and it helps to improve the health and wellbeing of all those involved.
