Kickstart – Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.

Kickstart is a new £2bn programme which will create hundreds and thousands of new jobs in England, Wales and Scotland.   The scheme provides access to high quality work placements giving young people an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge needed to secure future employment.  The scheme is open to young people aged 16 to 24 who are currently on Universal Credit.  Funding is available for employers so they can offer a work placement for 25 hours a week at national minimum wage.

Groundwork is pleased to be part of a national programme providing bespoke training to all young people that access our programme.  You will have the opportunity to develop transferable skills and gain value work experience within our organisation.

The Government has committed £2 billion to the new Kickstart Scheme which has been designed to create thousands of paid 6-month work placements.  Groundwork is pleased to be part of this scheme and as a federation will provide placement opportunities to over 200 young people across the country.

Groundwork CLM is an approved Gateway Provider which offers support to both employers and young people.  We are looking for likeminded employers who want to create a pipeline of future employees and offer meaningful and quality placements for young people in the local area.  As an organisation we pride ourselves on having a team who are professional, approachable and friendly with the ability to develop relationships quickly and effectively. Our specialist teams have significant experience in working with young people aged 16-24 years old through the delivery of our personal development programmes. They are qualified in Information Advice and Guidance, Safeguarding, Mental Health and Health and Safety in the Workplace. They have a wide range of expertise and knowledge to draw upon to help young people make the transition into employment. We will work with you to complete DWP requirements and liaise with local Jobcentres to promote the roles you are wanting to offer a young person.   We will provide ongoing support throughout the 6-month period to ensure the scheme is a success.
