We are a charity that supports a network of over 120 Men’s Sheds in NI.
How we support Men’s Sheds
We offer bespoke support to sheds depending on their needs. Our work involves:
- Raising awareness of the Men’s Shed model
- Creating opportunities for Sheds to network and support each other
- Supporting shed leaders
- Connecting Sheds with opportunities and support
- Funding safety, skills and wellbeing training
About Men’s Sheds
‘Men don’t talk face to face, they talk shoulder to shoulder.’
Men’s Sheds were developed as a way to combat loneliness in older men. For those who have seemingly lost a sense of purpose in their life, the local Men’s Shed provides invaluable services. From something as simple as sitting down for a coffee and a biscuit, to learning a new skill, Men’s Sheds benefit not only the individual, but the entire community as well.

What makes the Men’s Sheds movement so powerful is not the physical buildings that they occupy, whether it’s an old barn or a wooden shed – it’s the impact that these Sheds have on their community and the people who attend.
