Groundwork is a charity mobilising practical community action on poverty and the environment.

We’re passionate about creating a future where every neighbourhood is vibrant and green, every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny and no-one is held back by their background or circumstances.

Community Gardens

Groundwork NI transforms spaces into gardens for the whole community.

Our Community Gardens lie on space that has been earmarked for future development but until then, Groundwork NI creates an attractive and accessible garden for people living locally.

Men’s Sheds

Originating from Australia in the 90s, the first Men’s Shed in Ireland opened in early 2009.

Men’s Sheds’ aim was to improve the overall health of all males. However, they have expanded their remit to include anyone regardless of age or gender.

Groundwork NI is dedicated to empowering communities through grant funding opportunities.

We assist in the enabling of the Aughrim Landfill Programme a partnership between Aughrim Landfill Ltd and Groundwork NI and the enabling of the Tesco Stonger starts programme.

Our work in the community would not be possible without our funders
