This vibrant regional park, formed in 1965, spans from Rickmansworth in the north, to Staines in the south- from Uxbridge in the east, to Slough in the west.

Covering 110km2 the landscape is a mix of villages, green spaces and waterways, it’s the first taste of countryside immediately west of London and is a mosaic of farmland, woodland & water with 200 miles of rivers, canals and over 70 lakes.

Groundwork act as managing agent on behalf of the Colne Valley Regional Park Trust , advising the Board of Trustees on responses to planning applications within the Regional Park and managing a number of green spaces on behalf of the Trust and other partners. We actively develop and manage new initiatives, including project funding for a variety of improvements for people and wildlife in the Regional Park.

In support of the Regional Park we are leading a campaign: “Your Countryside in Crisis: A call for action”  https://www.colnevalleypark.org.uk/project/campaign/.
